Small ways to help
Choose a bounded task, join one event, or help organize one activity. These are examples—not a live signup list. Confirm the event, contact person, safety plan, and current supplies before participating.
Pick up litter on one block with a partner, report a broken light, or share a verified resource list. Ask the event host about location, access needs, supplies, and disposal.
Try a cleanup, pantry shift, block walk, or listening table without joining a board or committing to future work.
Bring water, take photos for an official report, distribute flyers, or make reminder calls. Choose “one time only” unless you decide otherwise.
Invite a partner and use a short handoff note so another neighbor can take the next turn. Confirm permits, safety, and trash removal first.
Champaign cleanup supplies and grants have registration and eligibility requirements. Ask whether you can join an existing registered group's event; do not assume supplies, permits, or funding are available to individuals.
Direct service routing
Choose the closest match. Each link opens the responsible official service or department.
These destinations are official City of Champaign sources. Confirm the municipality before reporting an issue.

Use this optional email draft to share an idea, concern, or plan with Deputy Mayor Will Kyles. You choose whether to send it. It goes to will.kyles@champaignil.gov; it is not posted publicly. This website cannot promise a response time or that an agency will take action.
